From Past To Present, I Still Love You

Yummy Garlic

Yummy Garlic

The number of glasses she had to carry made Yoona want to cry. Despite her troubles, she continuously smiled while placing each drink to its customer.

None of them said thank you. Something she expected.

"Are you ladies ready to order?" She asked.

"Yes," a nasally voiced female said. She pointed to the menu with her perfectly manicured index finger. "A porterhouse steak please."

The rest of them voiced their orders as well.

However, anyone in the room could notice their condescending tone when talking to Yoona. Slowly, their impression of the new owner slowly diminished, replaced with distaste. Nobody would want a bitch as their superior, no matter how pretty and rich they were. The atmosphere became heavy. Even the manager, who was sucking up to Jaeun a few moments ago, had a look of disappointment on his face.

"Thank you. To confirm, the lady in the far right ordered a porterhouse steak-." Just before she could get to the other orders, she felt water splash against her skin. A girl was about to drink water and 'accidentally' lost grip, making it fall all over her.

For the second day in a row, Yoona was intentionally covered in water for the sake of mockery. How wonderful.

"Oh my goodness!" One of the girls said. She covered her giggling mouth with her two hands. "I am so sorry about that sweetie!"

Anyone could tell that her actions were deliberate. The execution was terrible. There was a limit to bad acting anyone could handle. The way the girl leaned forward made it obvious that the water was aimed for Yoona.

Eunha scoffed, pissed off at how rude they were being.

Yoona acted as if nothing happened. Despite the clear wet spot right in the smack of her shirt, she calmly walked away. There was no point in talking back. She had to stay calm.

Jaeun was shocked to see the change in Yoona's behavior. At school the girl would talk back, and although she seemed confident, it was clear that she wasn't. As her former best friend, Jaeun knew Yoona the best.

But today was different. She wasn't reacting in any way. There was a sense of calmness in her heart. Something was off.

Jaeun looked around, her eyes piercing like a hawk. She needed to find the source of this sudden confidence. There had do be a change in Yoona's life to make this switch and she had a feeling it would be here.

Once she met the burning gaze of a short-haired girl, Jaeun knew exactly what the problem was. A cold smirk appeared on her face as she lifted up her index finger to point.

"Get rid of that short boy. I want her to serve me instead."

Eunha was ready to pull up her sleeves. She did not like the way this girl talked to her! She was a human as well, an equal being, not a bug! Despite her anger, she obediently obeyed. Eunha didn't want to ruin whatever plan Yoona had in mind. She had to be patient for the payback.

Yoona could not believe that Jaeun was now targeting her best friend.

This was the last straw. At the moment, she was very compelled to spill the glass of champagne perched on the tables on her former-friend's face. However, she did not want to commit the same actions as them. She was smarter than that.

No, her method of payback was going to be subtle, yet affective.

Suddenly, a brilliant idea popped up in her head. And she was ready to execute.

---

Eunha was a wonderful actress. Well, in comparison to how bad she was to begin with.

Despite, the anger in her eyes, there was a clear smile on her face. Though her teeth were gnashed together, her voice rang loud and clear when necessary. Yoona was proud of her friend. The girl was working hard not to spoil the moment.

"Get me an extra pair of chopsticks I dropped mine."

"Clean the spilt water on the ground."

"She reminds me of a peasant... So ugly!"

Even though the spoiled customers gossiped around, mocking their poor status and abusing their power, Eunha stayed calmer than she normally would be. Anyone else would be in frenzy, getting into cat fights. It was quite heart-warming to see her friend hiding her feelings for the sake of her. Yoona promised not to disappoint.

Her plan was set into motion once the appetizers came.

Since the manager wanted to show off the talents of the chefs, although the main dishes were chosen by the girl's, the appetizers were hand-picked by the restaurant. There were many different types of dishes waiting to be delivered.

One of them was a dish included Toum, a Lebanese garlic sauce. Yoona had particular whispered in Lucas's ear to add extra garlic. Since Jaeun had bought the restaurant out of a whim, she had no idea what types of foods this restaurant offered. It was perfect.

When the food came out, Yoona immediately reached out for the Lebanese appetizer and another random dish while Eunha handled the other two.

While the two were getting the dishes, Jaeun had an annoyed expression on her face. All of the other friends were aware of her sour mood. Clearly, their plan of getting Yoona to break down wasn't working, they haven't done anything strong enough.

Suddenly, one of the girls had a plan. One that involved only a little bit of physical work.

She leaned over to Jaeun's ear. "Don't worry, I got this."

When the waitresses came, Eunha was first to lay the food down on the table. As she was putting down the nachos, the girl stupidly pushed her back, deliberately making the dish fly up to cover Eunha all over.

As the food began to explode over the two waitresses, Yoona used this distraction to her advantage. She pretended that the action shocked her and she began to stumble forward. The garlic sauce flew straight forward, aiming for Jaeun's face.
