The Wizard called Oz - HP

Health Specs

Oz woke up the next day feeling slightly exhausted but still revitalised by last nights mental breakthrough. Now he had a goal in the world he felt much more relaxed, like he could calmly deal with each event to come.

Starting off the day Oz went down to the bar of the leaky cauldron and used the money he had pilfered from the Voldemort sympathisers to pay off the rest of his stay. After paying it all off Oz still had a rather large sum of money to use in his endeavour to create a product for the wizard public.

Oz had been thinking on what he wanted to create for a while now and he had finally come to a conclusion.

'Using my knowledge of anatomy pared with Merlin's notes left on anatomy via the ritual... I have a decent grasp on what needs to be seen in order to tell if someone's ill or sick. If I combine glasses with an enchantment that allows a user to see through a person but only enough to see the persons bones and muscle, maybe I can create something that will be beneficial to a lot of people in the health industry...'

As soon as Oz was set on the idea he got to work, going into Diagon Alley he bought all the materials he required and went back to his room in the Leaky Cauldron. For the next couple weeks he would recluse in his room trying his hardest to create this product before summers end and have it released under a Pseudonym.

'What should I call this product of mine? Health-Glasses? Inspection specs? hmmm... my naming sense has always been terrible, maybe I should just go simple and call them Health Specs'.

With an idea and a name Oz began work in his room.

.

Several weeks had passed and Oz hardly left his room in the Leaky Cauldron. He spent most of his time sat staring at different glasses trying to enchant them carefully so they could house a, what Oz called, inspection enchantment. The difficulty here for Oz was the fact he had to not only enchant a pair of glasses, but also create the enchantment as a whole. If the output was too powerful you'd see through a person or a wall instead and if the output was too weak you'd just see through a persons clothes and not their body.

'Although these are technically defunct I should still keep them for a rainy day...'

After what felt like months to Oz of toiling he finally created his product. Looking down at himself he was able to see his entire bodies bones and muscles. On the side of the glasses you could up the concentration to allow to see deeper within the human body with the limit being the five viscera and nervous system.

'This is perfect! If I get Gringotts to market this then surely it will be huge!'.

Oz didn't realise at the time but the feat he had achieved was something truly outstanding. Using his knowledge of modern technology along with his powerful control in magic he was able to create something that not only would help him in the long run but help out everyone in need.

'The only issue here is that I'll be helping out the other side too... Well I can't exactly ban death eaters from buying the product, they will just find ways to circumvent it and they may even come for me in retaliation'.

This product truly was one of a kind though and something only Oz could conceive with his knowledge.

Happy with all the results, Oz left his room heading off the Gringotts to get this product patented and sold off to the public.

.

As Oz was walking towards Gringotts he saw a man handing out the Daily Prophet. Usually Oz would ignore such a thing but after his decision to become a part of this world and not watch it from the outside in he decided instead to buy a paper today and see what was going on in the Wizarding World.

To his surprise, the front page of the newspaper read:

'MERLINS DESCENDANT DISCOVERED, AMBROSIUS BLOODLINE REVIVED'.

Oz looked through the entire paper quickly but luckily there was no passage showing him being that descendant. The majority of the paper was just describing how such a person was discovered recently in Gringotts, however Gringotts kept a tight lip on who the person was.

'Now that this information is circulating though... It means eventually people will find out who I am. I'm already strong enough to defend myself against common witches and wizards but I need to get stronger in order to defend myself properly against any threat'.

Reading the rest of the newspaper, Oz found nothing else that was noteworthy and decided to just stuff the newspaper into his pouch. Finally after this all he arrived at Gringotts.

Walking in Oz headed straight for the head desk, this time behind it was the head goblin which simplified things for Oz. Walking up Oz gave the goblin a smile and said:

"Its been a while Head, how's business"

The head goblin looked at Oz, a smirk planted on his face.

"Business has been going well, gold lining our pockets Mr Am- Ahem... Mr Oz. Something tells me you're coming here to help our business as well?"

Oz looked at the goblin in front of him with a sigh.

'Seriously do these guys smell money and opportunities?'

"I do have something I want to start producing and selling to the wizard public. I have the instructions on how to make the products with me as well. If you could share with me some of your time, then hopefully we can come to an agreement".

The head goblin smiled and nodded at Oz's request. He called over another goblin to take his place at the desk as he took Oz into one of Gringotts's back rooms.

"So Mr Oz, what is the product you would like to sell through us today?".

Oz smiled as he put the glasses on the table in front of the Goblin.

"These are what I call... Health Specs. An item created by me and enchanted by me with a custom enchantment. If you put the glasses on you will be able to see through a wizard, seeing all their anatomy has to offer. By using the dial on the side of the glasses you can adjust the power of which you see through for maximum precision when diagnosing. Such an item I think will be a boon to the Wizarding community".

The head goblin looked shocked at what Oz was describing, if this product was truly what Oz described then it would surely help the community immensely. After putting on the glasses himself and demoing them, the goblin found that Oz was indeed telling the truth and these glasses were the real deal.

"Truly remarkable Mr Oz, It's obvious to me that you've also inherited your ancestors talent for enchantment. Such a product will indeed be popular amongst the general public and hospitals".

Looking down at the glasses Oz explained.

"There's also a failsafe on the glasses so nobody can increase the output or decrease it over a certain limit. We don't exactly want people staring through walls and clothes now do we".

The head goblin laughed at Oz's comment.

"Hahaha we don't indeed! Okay Mr Oz tell me the deal here, what's the production cost and cut you will allow Gringotts for selling this item".

Oz smiled at the head goblin and explained.

"The production cost isn't much, with the blueprints and spell I left its not hard to create this product at all. The total cut im looking at is 10/20/70. 10 for production, 20 for Gringotts and 70 to me the creator of the product".

The head goblin looked slightly stifled by what Oz was proposing. He sat in silence looking at the glasses for a while before saying:

"Very well Mr Oz, we will agree with your terms. Lets get the contracts signed and the product patented under your name...".

Oz quickly stopped the goblin mid-sentence.

"Wait just a moment, would it be okay to use a Pseudonym here? Such a good product, I don't exactly want people knocking down my door asking me how to create it. If its being sold by Gringotts and the creator is anonymous then I wont have any trouble come to me".

The head goblin grinned at Oz, impressed with his decision making.

"A smart choice indeed Mr Oz, what Pseudonym would you like to sell the product under?".

Oz sat pondering for a while, he was always bad at giving things names.

"Do it under the Pseudonym 'Lee Oswald'"

There was no rhyme or reason to the name Oz picked as his Pseudonym in the production industry for now. It was just the first thing that came to his head. The head goblin nodded at Oz's decision and continued the paperwork for the product, patenting it secretly under Oz's name but publicly under 'Lee Oswald'.

"With a product this simple we will be able to start selling it soon, your cut will be sent directly to your personal vault under the name 'Oz'. Does that sound fine Mr Oz?"

Looking pleased with the results of todays talk, Oz responded:

"Thats perfect".
