The Wizard called Oz - HP

Unveiling

Unveiling

"Quite the crowd here don't you think master?~".

Looking down diagon alley after arriving via the Leaky Cauldron fireplace, Oz and Alfreda were met with the sight of hundreds of wizards crammed into the alley. The majority of the witches and wizards were centered nearby Gringotts.

"That goblin may have done a bit too good of a job...".

Wading through the crowd Oz blended right in now that he was disguised as a simple adult wizard. Alfreda hid her elven ears and also changed her appearance to supplement Oz's a bit, making herself older. Oz noticed again that she had made her bust size slightly bigger however this time he kept the information to himself letting her have this little victory.

Looking around diagon alley Oz noticed 'screens' had been placed in different areas. On the walls to inside shop windows. Seeing this Oz broke a smile. Alfreda also smiled as she noticed the screens surrounding. The crowds gathered in the alley had also noticed these 'screens' and seemed to be paying a great deal of attention to them however not many understood what they were for as all they showed is blankness at this point in time.

As the two approached the bank Oz started to notice the sheer amount of reporters surrounding it. From different newspapers and news outlets there were many surrounding the bank waiting for a spectacle to happen. Eavesdropping on some of the conversations the reporters were predicting what 'Lee Oswald' would look like, what he was going to unveil and what he was going to say.

Oz and Alfreda slipped on by heading into the bank. As Oz took one last glance down at the many groups of reporters he noticed a familiar women with a quill and notebook following her.

'Figures she'd be here...'.

Rita skeeter had also made an appearance which wasn't at all surprising to Oz. Oz actually looked forward to how she would spin this whole situation into something dramatic. This information and press event after all needed to be spread out of england to other countries and their ministries/governments so as to allow Oz's identity as 'Lee Oswald' easier access to them all. Rita may make stuff up but she was good at making a story that drew in attention regardless of it's validity.

Slipping into the door of Gringotts Oz saw that the majority of Goblins were being ordered around by the head goblin near the end of the foyer. As the head goblin spotted Oz and Alfreda enter he approached them with an unkind look on his face.

"Who are you? Gringotts is closed for now you have no business here!".

Oz leant into the head goblins ear and whispered.

"If you go any further with your reprimanding a certain 'Unbreakable Vow' may trigger".

The head goblin blankly stared at Oz as he realised what he had done. As the head of Gringotts he was usually able to see through the transfiguration spells of most witches and wizards how Oz's own transfigured face completely eluded his gaze making it so he didnt notice it was Oz underneath it.

"I-I'm so sorry Mr A-... I mean Mr Oswald. If you'd come this way I think we are almost ready to get the show on the road".

Walking over to the main desk inside Gringotts Oz and the head started to finalise the plans for this unveiling. He also took the time to change out the clothes Alfreda had given him and put on some clothes that he had Alfreda buy for him for 'Lee Oswald' to wear.

"I see that the main thing I requested has been done head, good job on that front".

"No problem Mr Oswald. Those screen blueprints you made alongside the Magi-Cast weren't as difficult as making the Magi-Cast itself... It's taken our developers a few attempts already until they were able to recreate your masterful work...".

When Oz finished the Magi-Cast he also made a device which the 'Projections' from the device could be casted to. After the main mechanism of the Magi-Cast was finalised adding onto the device was easier then creating it from scratch so this mechanism that allowed for 'screen casting' wasn't too hard to add. An all-nighters work from Oz and he had it sorted.

"Well with everything now prepared I think its best we don't keep the crowd gathered waiting... Tell me though goblin how did you gather such a crowd?".

The head goblin smiled as he chuckled to himself.

"Word of mouth Mr. Oswald word of mouth. Us goblins usually just spend our days here sorting all your witches and wizards gold. The second that norm was broken by us talking about an 'event' going to be held it spread rapidly around the community. Alongside that we also reached out to newspapers and news outlets about the event so reporters would gather".

Oz praised the head goblin for his work as he approached the front door. The head goblin headed out first in order to introduce 'Lee Oswald'.

.

The crowds chatter filled diagon alley with noise as the head goblin walked out. The second the head was noticed however all the noise started to dull down as the attention was poured onto him. Clearing his throat the goblin put his finger to his neck and used magic to raise his voice.

"Thank you all for showing today... On this day us of Gringotts and the master enchanter 'Lee Oswald' have a special product that we would like to unveil to the world. As you all know 'Lee Oswald' was the same enchanter who revolutionised the health industry creating the 'Health Specs' that have helped heal thousands upon thousands of witches and wizards already. His intellect is unrivalled in our eyes in terms of artefact and product creation hence we decided to partner with him. His new product he brought to us opened our eyes to a whole new era that could flood over this world. As for that product... I'll allow the man himself to show you!".

Hearing his que Oz walked out to a massive crowd with the face of 'Lee Oswald'. Looking at all the different witches and wizards he felt his blood sizzle. Any nerves and anxiety he should be having in this situation seemed to be supressed by his blood. A dragon after all should never falter in front of cattle.

Pointing his own finger to his neck, Oz casted 'Sonorus' raising his own voice to be as loud as possible.

"Good Evening to all my fellow Witches and Wizards... My health specs were an invention I sought to make in order to help the wizarding world as a whole and I'm glad to see the reception they've received is positive. When I created them though I wondered what it was I wanted to do next. I spent years mulling over what could be possible and what sort of new product would be a good follow up and after a long time thinking I finally found it..."

"As some of you are aware of, the muggle world recently showed in the past few years an abrupt increase in their technological prowess. Along with this new technology they made was a device called the 'Television' which allowed these muggles to spread information across the world to 'TV's' in the comfort of their own home..."

"In our wizarding communities across the globe we still use our Owls amongst other methods of communication. Some of us are so stuck in our ways due to this and have never even entertained the thought of moving forward to a new era like these muggles... What I bring to you today however is a device that will allow us to also take that step forward into a new future".

Oz reached into his pouch on his side and pulled out the Magi-Cast that had been recently fully finalised. The design was cleaner and sleeker than the original with a few more 'buttons' and other functions allowing for ease of use. All the eyes of the public were glued onto this device as it came out. Looking out the corner of his eye Oz could see Rita Skeeter writing notes furiously. A slight smirk rose on his face as he continued.

"This here is a device I've painstakingly created which I dub the 'Magi-Cast'... With this device you can capture moments in time much like muggle television and broadcast it across the world. Unlike muggle television though my Magi-Cast uses a fusion of technology and magic to function. With its small design you can carry it anywhere capturing anything within the world. When you've captured that 'video' you can then bring it back home play it to any and everyone over and over again..."

"Allow me to demonstrate...".

Oz signalled the head goblin who was behind him to which the goblin responded with a nod. A snap of his fingers and all of a sudden the screens plastered everywhere in Diagon alley started to light up. As the image cleared Lee Oswald's face was shown in real-time. As he began to speak again his voice echoed with the screens that were placed around the alley.

"This function of the device is still a prototype allowing for footage in real time to be caught and transmitted across the world. Much like Muggle news stations that broadcast their news in real time this function aims to do the same thing only much easier. My aim with this device is not only to improve the wizarding community but to revolutionise it...".

"From information spreading to Entertainment to Learning to Marketing, this device would allow all these parts of our community to receive a boon. Each department would be improved beyond comparison and with such an easy way of spreading information our security and safety can be assured to...".

"And to finalise this unveiling I shall inform you now that this device will be available to everyone across the wizarding community. Nobody regardless of their standing will be withheld from having their own Magi-Cast if they can afford it".

The crowd in front of Oz roared at Oz's speech as he spoke it. Alfreda behind Oz looked at him with a shocked gaze. He was rousing the crowd incredibly well considering Oz was usually someone who stayed indoors deigning to interact with anyone. As she looked at her master she started to see the shadow lingering over him of a leader, something she had never noticed before.

"Gringotts shall be the ones to distribute my invention from here on... I hope that my creation can help all of you as much as possible".

'Lee Oswald' turned himself around and proceeded back into Gringotts as the crowd broke out into a round of applause. All the reporters taking pictures with their primitive cameras in comparison to the Magi-Cast looked towards the device held in Oz's hand and the screens surrounding them with predatorial eyes. Many yelled out towards 'Lee Oswald' asking for more information about the device however Oz just ignored them. He could even here the voice of a certain Rita Skeeter however he refused to speak anymore. As he entered into Gringotts the head goblin and Alfreda followed after him. The door closed shut leaving an excited crowd behind along with reporters who apparated off as quickly as possible to try and get their news story out first.
