Extra 15: Dragon & Dragon Maids (14)

"I see" - Ur muttered as she gritted her teeth in fury at hearing how the scientists had lied to her about her daughter, only to let out a sigh of relief when she heard that if not for that, she might have died, and truly disappeared from her daughter's life - "Thank you for helping my little girl to know the truth, though I am curious to know who you are."

"We are travelers from the future who have come to fix a little girl's sad future" - Kurama said while pointing at Ultear.

Ur again opened her eyes as she walked to the black haired woman and hugged her - "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I wasn't by your side."

The adult Ultear's tears could not be held back when she heard this, after all, they were the words she always wanted to hear.

"Mom" - cried in tears Ultear as she hugged him back - "I'm sorry too, I'm sorry for all the things I've done all these years!"

Ur said nothing in response, she just hugged her daughter, only to watch as little Ultear looked at them with jealousy.

"You don't have to feel so bad, she is you, but from the future" - Ur said with a smile as she hugged the two versions of her daughter.

Kurama watched this with a smile, until he saw how two children watched everything from the door.

"Who are they?" - A white-haired boy asked.

"I think they are Ur-san's family" - Gray answered as he tilted his head - "And such looks like they haven't seen each other for many years for all the crying they are doing."

"Do you think we should introduce ourselves?" - The white-haired boy asked.

"Sure, we are sensei's apprentices" - Gray replied as he puffed out his chest with pride.

"First, though, I think it would be a good idea for us to get dressed up, I don't want them to treat us like perverts" - muttered the white-haired boy as he saw how his apprentice brother, was half naked, again.

"You're a genius, Lyon!" - Gray exclaimed happily.

"No, I just have common sense" - snorted Lyon, only to hide when he noticed how the strange white-haired man was watching them with a smile.

"Lyon, Gray, I want you to come meet someone special to me" - said Ur as they called their apprentices.

"What's wrong, Ur-san?" - Gray asked curiously as he saw the girl who was a little older than him - "Hello".

"Hello" - replied Ultear as she nodded.

"This is Ultear, she's my daughter" - said Ur as he watched his apprentices eyes widen in surprise.

"Didn't you say she died?" - Lyon asked with a frown.

"Yes, the scientists told me that, but they tricked me" - said Ur with hatred, something that surprised the two children because they had never seen their teacher so furious - "They told me that my baby had passed away, so they could use her as a guinea pig."

"Okay, time to go beat the crap out of them" - Gray snorted as he glared at his teacher, only to feel the snow on his face after receiving a firm smack on the head from Ur - "Why are you hitting me, Ur!"

"Because you're acting like an idiot" - Ur said with a scowl - "If you go, you'll end up dead because those assholes are the worst kind of scum that exist in the world, they'll do anything to achieve their desires, even kill or kidnap children for their experiments"

"Ugh" - Gray stuck his tongue out at Ur before running inside the house in shame.

"I'm sorry you had to see that, that little idiot is, well, an idiot" - Ur said as she scratched her cheek - "Anyway, I'd like to thank you for bringing back my little girl home."

"You don't have to thank us, we did it for our own reasons" - Kurama said calmly as he saw how the adult Ultear was now much calmer - "And I think it's time for us to leave"

"Leave?" - Ur said with a frown - "Can't you stay for a few days, so we can thank you for all you have done for us?"

"I'm sorry, but we can't stay long in the past" - replied Kurama while shaking his head - "Not to mention that we can't intervene or interact with you anymore, unless we want this timeline to disappear."

"I don't understand those technicalities, nevertheless I understand what you are trying to express, it's a pity" - sighed Ur while shaking her head.

"I recommend you to do the same, we can't intervene directly, so I recommend you to move as soon as possible because I wouldn't be surprised if those scientists are running in this direction seeing that Ultear-chan hasn't returned" - said Kurama seriously.

"You're right" - murmured Ur seriously as she told her disciples to get their things ready because they would be moving home immediately.

Gray and Lyon were confused, but they still followed their teacher's instructions, only to run into the house and pack their bags.

"Again, I thank you for what you have done for us" - Ur said as she bowed - "I know there is no way to repay you for this favor."

Kurama said nothing, while Ultear just smiled.

Ur looked once at Kurama, then looked at Ultear with a sad smile on her face - "You have become a beautiful woman, Ultear, and I am sorry that I could not be by your side when you needed me the most, however, there is something I want you to know."

Ultear looked at her mother with sadness, but at the same time she was happy that she was able to talk to her, not to mention that now a version of her could finally be happy together with her family.

"I have always loved you, and I will always love you, no matter what era, or what dimension it is, you will always be the most wonderful thing that will have ever happened to me" - said Ur as she kissed the adult Ultear on the forehead - "I called you Ultear because as soon as I held you in my arms, all I could do, was cry from the happiness of having you beside me."

"Mother" - Ultear murmured as she gave the ice mage one last hug because she always thought her name was a curse, a constant reminder of her abandonment, but now she understood that it was quite the opposite. Her name was proof of her mother's love and how happy it made her that she was born.

Ultear tried to tell her something else, but couldn't because he noticed how her body began to glow.

"Our time in this age, is over" - Kurama said as he shook his head - "I'm sorry I can't do more, but if we stay any longer, even I won't be able to save you."

"Go, be happy, and I want you to know that no matter what you do, or all the mistakes you have made, I will always love you, my little moon tear" - said Ur as she watched the two adults from the future, disappear from the place, as if they had never been there in the first place.

"Teacher? Where did those two adults go?" - Gray asked in surprise as he saw how the people who had accompanied his teacher's daughter had disappeared.

"They went back home" - Ur replied as she closed her eyes - "Like your sister."

"Sister?" - Gray asked in surprise.

"Of course, you two are like sons to me, and now that I have my baby with me, that makes us a much bigger family" - replied Ur with a smile as she hugged Gray and Ultear - "Now come on, we have to get ready, so we can escape, I don't want something to happen to you"

"Ok" - nodded the two children as Ur looked at the sky and thanked her daughter from the future for changing the past - "Thank you, daughter, you too, handsome stranger."

"Will we see them again, mother?" - Ultear asked with a frown, as she wanted to talk to them some more, and thank them for saving her from a dark future.

"Of course, everything is possible, my little one" - replied Ur with a smile while stroking her little girl's hair - "Now let's go where your brothers are."

"Hai!" - Ultear exclaimed with a huge smile full of happiness because not only had she got her mother back, but now she had two siblings to take care of.

* * * * *

Ultear slowly opened her eyes and saw how she was back in the dark room where she had confronted Kurama, only to notice how he was nowhere to be seen.

"This has to have been a dream" - muttered Ultear sadly as she looked down at her hands - "A very real dream."

"It wasn't a dream" - replied a familiar voice.

"Kurama?" - Ultear asked in surprise because he couldn't see the white-haired man anywhere.

"Kurama? You don't call me master anymore?" - Kurama asked with amusement.

Ultear was embarrassed when she heard this as she looked around, only to be surprised to see how a small white fox was watching her with amusement - "Kurama?"

"So you finally realize who I am" - said Kurama with boredom.

"What happened to you?" - Ultear asked in surprise as she frowned.

"Traveling through time left me so weak that I had to adopt this form to keep my chakra levels stable enough to survive" - Kurama replied wearily.
