The Legend of the Kyubi

Extra 16: Gate (24)

Extra 16: Gate (24)

Two days later, Itami was looking at the pretty red-haired girl and the escorts behind her.

"So, you are the princess of the empire?" - Itami asked while raising an eyebrow curiously because he didn't expect this kind of situation, after all, they were enemies of the empire.

"Yes, my name is Piña Co Lada" - replied Piña while making a small bow.

"Piña Co Lada?" - Shino repeated in surprise.

"Is there something wrong with my name?" - Piña asked as she raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, no disrespect, but your name sounds like an alcoholic drink from our world" - Shino answered honestly.

"Alcohol?" - Piña repeated with surprise - "What do you think of this, Bozes, Beefeater?"

"Hmm, that's an interesting coincidence" - muttered Bozes as she shrugged her shoulders.

"I think so too" - nodded Bozes as she noticed the strange look from the soldiers in green - "What, are our names drinks too?"

"Uh, well, Beefeater-san is, but your name is practically drink" - Itami replied while scratching his cheek.

The members of the order of rose knights, looked at each other as they introduced themselves, only to hear how the vast majority of them had names that made references to alcohol.

"Ok, this isn't just a coincidence anymore" - muttered Piña as she frowned, only to shake her head - "Anyway, I didn't come to talk about my name, but to talk to you guys about some important things."

Itami's expression turned serious with these words as the other soldiers looked at each other.

"Please continue" - Itami said calmly.

"First, I would like to apologize for the actions of my half-brother, Prince Zorzal" - said Piña with embarrassment - "His actions are not the actions of the empire."

"Ok, I guess that explains why Kurama-dono said that the empire was not our enemy" - muttered Itami while nodding.

"Kurama-dono said that?" - Piña asked in surprise.

"Yes, that's what he said" - nodded Itami calmly - "Anyway, I guess that's not all you came to tell us."

"Yes, I would like to know if you guys have my brother under your control" - replied Piña with a frown.

"I'm sorry, but we don't know what you're talking about" - Itami said with a frown.

"My brother disappeared during the attack he launched against you, that's why my father thought you were responsible, but looking at your reactions, it's obvious that's not the case" - muttered Piña with a frown - "I guess we'll have to mark my brother's whereabouts as unknown and talk about other issues."

The soldiers looked at each other because this news was new, the bastard responsible for everything that had happened in their world had disappeared without a trace.

"What else do you want to talk with us?" - Itami asked with mild curiosity.

"I want to talk about some possible cultural and information exchange" - replied Piña with a small smile.

"What do you know about [Samsara]?" - Itami asked as he got straight to the point.

"[Samsara]?" - repeated Piña with a frown - "I know a lot about that city, I've been there for three years."

"Then we can come to an agreement" - Itami said with a small smile as the knights frowned.

* * * * *

"So this is the place" - muttered Rory as she looked around. She was in [Alnus], a place surrounded by oversized green tents that reminded her slightly of the desert city, but what made everything more interesting was the highly advanced technology these strange men had - "I wonder how destructive the power of those metal tools are?"

"It depends on the enemy" - replied a tall black-haired man with a well-trained physique - "My name is Koji Sugawara, minister of foreign affairs, in charge of all the boring stuff about negotiations, bureaucracy and public relations with other forces"

"My name is Rory Mercury, servant of the god of darkness, death, war and madness" - Rory replied with a small smile.

Koji was silent because this was a bit strange, after all, he had managed to read the report that the presence of Emroy's apostle foreshadowed great catastrophes. She was like an alarm for people to escape.

"Oh, relax, I didn't come because the souls told me to, but because my master has an interest in you" - Rory replied as she noticed how the man was slightly tense.

"That doesn't relax me in the least, if it was a simple war, we could defend ourselves one way or another, but if a god is interested in us, things get much more complicated than we need" - Koji replied with a frown.

"Hmm, you have a point, after all, Emroy-sama isn't interested in many things" - Rory said with a small smile - "So far, there are only two things that have interested him, you in general, and Kurama-sama"

"Kurama-sama, you mean the god of [Samsara]?" - Koji asked while narrowing his eyes because this might be a good way to get information.

"Yes, the praised god of nature, the elements, judgment and reincarnation" - replied Rory while licking a finger with an ecstatic expression - "He has power that you can't see a limit to, and his ability to interact directly with death is thrilling"

"Kurama-sama can bring back the dead?" - Koji asked in surprise as he felt a huge amount of cold sweat running down his back.

"Hmm, I heard that he can, although he needs to talk it over with Hardy-sama and Emroy-sama" - replied Rory while tilting her head - "But what he does is reincarnate people."

"Reincarnate?" - Koji asked in surprise.

"Yes, you see, he makes souls return to their original form, without experiences, painful memories or a past, to give them a new chance to walk in the mortal world" - answered Rory calmly - "At first he was doing it with a child form, but after seeing the first result, he decided it was better to do it with a baby form."

Koji was silent because this was not something he expected - "Your goddess of the underworld isn't upset that he's taking people who should be entering her domain?"

"In the least, Kurama-sama with the help of Hardy-sama, manages to separate experiences and create a pseudo soul that can go to the underworld, and depending on its destiny, it can spend an eternity in the punishment zone or go to paradise until it has its deserved reward" - Rory answered as she started to think - "As for people who have managed to achieve a lot of merits, the gods have decided to give them the opportunity to recover their memories after they turn 16"

"Interesting" - muttered Koji as he nodded weakly - "Back to the point, is there anything else you can tell us about Kurama-sama?"

"Hmm, let's see, he's kind, extremely popular, to the point that even Hardy-sama is interested in him" - replied Rory while tilting her head - "It's a bit strange because she was always the type of woman who liked to observe the suffering of her subjects."

"Where is he [Samsara]?" - Koji asked as he frowned.

"Oh, [Samsara] is about two or three hours' drive, north of here" - Rory answered honestly.

"Why are you telling me this without fear that your god will punish you?" - Koji asked with surprise and fear at the answer.

"Because our gods don't find you dangerous, in fact, your presence is amusing to them" - answered Rory as her smile grew considerably - "Emroy-sama is seriously thinking of having you join his war for hegemony, even Hardy-sama is curious if you can join her realm to learn more about your world."

Koji's expression darkened because he wasn't expecting such a horrible response like this, such it seemed like the gods of this world were treating them like toys, and honestly it wasn't like he could blame them, after all, they were something new to this world.

"What about Kurama-sama?" - Koji asked because he was sure that the white haired man was the most dangerous and possibly the best ally they could get in this world.

"Kurama-sama is curious about you, or rather your world" - answered Rory while shrugging her shoulders - "Emroy-sama told me that he was asking the hostages about your world with the intention of visiting it in the future, oh, but don't worry, Kurama-sama is not a conqueror, he's more like a kid who found something interesting."

"I see" - Koji nodded, although he wasn't very happy about this because he didn't know what kind of actions Kurama would take if he entered their dimension, he also didn't know if there would be any way to be able to control him from doing anything dangerous in their world, that's why he wasn't very calm about this plan of the god of reincarnation - "Does he have any weaknesses?"

"Oh?" - Rory raised an eyebrow when she heard this as she let out a small laugh.
