The Legend of the Kyubi

Extra 16: Gate (25)

Extra 16: Gate (25)

"Oh?" - Rory raised an eyebrow when she heard this as she let out a small laugh.

"Did I say something funny?" - Koji asked with a frown.

"I don't know if you're brave, or just stupid" - Rory replied as she continued to laugh, to the point where tears were running down her cheek - "Ok, that was funny, I can sense that you're seriously asking, so to thank you for making me laugh, I'm going to answer your question. He has no weakness, he is invincible by the standards of this world, and yours."

"The history of my world has taught me that there is no one who is invincible, and I'm sure it applies to this world as well" - Koji replied neutrally.

"Oh, I'm sure these words would be accurate to the other gods because there is a system that gives them powers, but Kurama-sama is different" - Rory replied neutrally as she releases some of her divine power.

Koji felt like he was looking death directly in the eyes, so it took him a few minutes to be able to calm down, although the sweat running down his back showed that he was still feeling like a wild beast was chasing him.

"Kurama-sama doesn't need this system, he was born into this world with unlimited power" - Rory answered seriously as she remembered the arrival of the god of reincarnation to their existential plane - "And now that he took his deserved place in the pantheon of the gods, his power grows with each passing day, to the point that many gods have decided to submit voluntarily out of the desire to prosper in a world where religion is not restricted to one race or one area."

"You say Kurama-sama is the main god of this dimension?" - Koji asked as he felt a huge concern because he didn't think the white-haired man was that important. Yes, he knew Kurama was a god, but he didn't think he would be the main god, the Zeus of this pantheon.

"Well, for now he is not recognized in this way because his religion is not yet expanded enough, although his domains are more than enough reason for him to take this title" - Rory answered honestly.

"I still think you are being too cooperative in answering my questions" - Koji said with a frown.

"Honesty is the most fundamental thing in a conversation, not to mention that I don't feel any concern for your actions, after all, the gods are watching you closely" - replied Rory while licking her lips.

Koji was silent as he felt eyes settle on his shoulders along with a huge toothy grin.

"Oh, I guess Emroy-sama isn't too happy with the fact that I've talked too much" - Rory muttered while shaking her head - "Anyway, I've done what I had to do in this place, so I'll take my leave for now."

"I'd like you to stay for a while longer, so we can talk things over more calmly" - replied Koji while adjusting his tie - "You'll also be able to experience some things from our world."

"Hmm, sorry, but the mission of an apostle is much more annoying than you think, I have to spend most of my time walking from one city to another in order to carry the souls of the fallen towards Hardy-sama's realm" - Rory replied while frowning slightly - "Now, I kindly ask you to let me go in peace, or I will have to use force, something I haven't done in decades."

Koji was silent for a few seconds before watching as the girl retreated quietly. When he saw that she was at a safe distance, he prepared to order an attack because he had noticed that she was dangerous, but after a few seconds he decided against it because that would only make things get out of control, something they didn't need when they were just settling in this strange place.

* * * * *

"Why did you ask for a meeting between us?" - Kurama asked as he looked around with a blank expression as he felt something soft brush against his arm - "Hardy, stop doing that stuff with someone else's body."

"Oh, this and I'm sure this mortal will be more than happy with accepting to be the mother of our offspring ~" - said Hardy, who was using the body of Yao, the dark elf - "I can even feel how she wishes to experience it herself!"

Yao screamed in her consciousness as Hardy let out a laugh.

"Stop acting like that crazy bitch Miritta" - Emroy said with a frown.

"If you want to insult that lunatic, do it, but leave me out of your arguments, you bastard" - growled Miritta, who was still using the old woman as a vessel, which was annoying - "Although I have to admit I'm jealous of Hardy, that dark elf is beautiful, though not as beautiful as I am."

"I admit it, I'm jealous too, these mortal vessels are too weak to maintain our presence for long, but it seems that Hardy has been giving her blessing to that dark elf, adapting her to her presence" - said Ral, the goddess of learning - "Maybe we should do the same as her, find a vessel talented enough while we prepare everything to descend, although I'm a bit worried about the consequences of all our presences on the mortal plane"

"We just need to modify the laws so that our presence is not a problem, though to do this we need more gods with different powers" - Elange replied as he looked at his sister - "Maybe we should start to train our apostles as gods to have their own domains related to us."

"You have a point, I was thinking of promoting Giselle to become the dragon goddess and be directly under my command" - Hardy said as she shrugged - "What do you think darling, do you want her to join us ~?"

Kurama sighed as he grabbed the bridge of his nose - "Can we leave this very interesting topic for another time and concentrate on the real reason for this meeting?"

"Tch" - Hardy clicked her tongue as the other gods laughed.

"Who knew that the cold goddess of the underworld, would end up acting like a prostitute looking for a rich man for a better life?" - Emroy asked sarcastically, only to cry out in pain after a few seconds - "Bitch!"

"Remember that our dimensions are close, and I can attack you without much trouble" - growled Hardy as a divine aura began to emanate from the two chaotic gods.

"Ok, that's enough" - said Kurama as he narrowed his eyes and looked at the two gods - "Hardy, stop acting like a child, and Emroy, start with the damn discussion now!"

"Ok" - muttered the two gods as they looked at each other in disgust.

"Those two are like brothers who are all the time arguing, very different from our harmonious relationship, don't you think so too, Ral?" - Elange asked with a small smile.

"Yes, although there are times when I would like some time alone" - Ral answered honestly.

Her words seemed to hurt more than she thought because Elange was on the floor spitting blood while mumbling things about how his sister was starting to hate him.

"Stop overreacting, you idiot!" - Ral exclaimed in embarrassment. She finally understood why their fellow pantheon members were making fun of them when they were mostly together and talking harmoniously.

"My sister hates me..." - Elange muttered sadly - "I want to die."

"Seriously, those two more than siblings look like a married couple" - sighed Flare with a frown.

"I think so too" - nodded Duncan as he folded his arms - "Though Elange is the more obsessive about his sister"

"I still say it's only a matter of time before a little goddess of research or intelligence, appears in our ranks" - said Lunaryur, the god of music as he struck a dramatic pose - "Maybe we should get everything ready to celebrate!"

"We're brothers, you idiot, there's no way we'd do something like that!" - Ral exclaimed angrily as the room trembled at her uncontrolled power - "And even if we weren't, Elange isn't my type, and I'd still see him as a brother!"

Elange began to tremble on the floor as his vessel felt as if it was about to vomit blood.

"You guys are worse than mortals" - Kurama muttered as he grabbed the bridge of his nose - "Can we get this shit over with before I lose my patience?"

The gods seemed to regain their composure as they looked at each other.

"Ok, let's get this conversation started, and I don't want any more bullshit, we can do that later" - Kurama said with a frown - "Speak up, Emroy."

"Ok, straight to the point, my apostle spoke too much and gave clues to the invaders about our faith gathering system" - answered Emroy as the gods looked at him neutrally - "I already punished her, and now she is coming back, but the damage is already done."

"What was it she said?" - Hardy asked with a frown.

"It wasn't much, although someone with a good brain can come to a more or less close conclusion" - Emroy replied as he repeated the exact words his apostle had said.

The gods could only look neutrally at the embarrassed god of death.
