Doomsday Fortress

Lee Loong put down the cutting tools in his hands and asked Zhang Fei, who was still welding steel bars into the car.    

Zhang Fei continued soldering for a while, securing the last steel bar. He took off his thick glasses and looked tired.    

"This is the third car. There are still five cars that haven't been equipped with steel bars."    

Today, Zhang Fei and the others were very tired. After Wang Yi left, Zhang Fei called down all the men that were left behind. He first carried the generator to a room on the second floor and used a quilt to block the window tightly to ensure that the sound wouldn't spread out.    

He then removed the steel plates from the truck, crossed them, cut them, and welded them.    

With this, the few of them were exhausted and had no strength left. Fortunately, there weren't any zombies around, so they were able to easily reinforce three business vehicles.    

Zhang Fei said to Yang Bing as he wiped the sweat off his face.    

"Yang Bing, look at the time. Why haven't Bro Yi and the others returned yet?"    

Yang Bing raised his wrist and looked at his watch.    

"Bro Fei, it's almost 6. I think Bro Yi and the rest should be back soon."    

Zhang Fei nodded and started to pack up the items in the hall.    

Shen Hee was standing at the door of the hotel anxiously. Seeing that the sky was getting dark and Wang Yi hadn't come back yet, he couldn't help but worry about his sister's safety.    

Shen Hee paced back and forth in front of the door. Suddenly, he saw a group of men and women walking down the hill in the distance. He focused his eyes and saw that the one who was jumping up and down in front of him was his sister!    

"Bro Yi and the others are back!"    

Shen Hee shouted into the hall and quickly ran out to see if his sister was hurt, even though she was still full of energy.    

"Bro Yi is back!"    

When the people in the hall heard Shen Hee's shout, they immediately put down their tools and rushed out to greet him. It was unknown when they had started to think of Wang Yi as their pillar. Without Wang Yi around, they couldn't rest at all.    

Shen Hee was the first to run over and surround his sister. Under Shen Bing's slightly angry gaze, Shen Hee finally confirmed that his sister had no wounds.    

"Brother, let me tell you something."    

Shen Hee was slightly surprised, since he could not remember seeing his sister being so serious, he could not help but ask.    

"What is it?"    

Shen Bing said calmly as she put her mouth close to her brother's ear.    

"Bro, can you stop treating me like a teenager?"    

Shen Hee was stunned for a moment before he replied.    

"But you're eighteen years old, so you're just a child."    

Shen Bing lowered her head and walked behind Wang Yi without saying anything. There was no one left in this brother of hers.    

"Enough, enough, you siblings stop messing around. Let's hurry back. It's going to be dark outside."    

Lee Mei came up to make things up, and the group of people walked to the door of the hotel, talking and laughing.    

"Bro Yi."    

"I'm back, Bro Yi."    

The few people who were left to guard came up to greet them and then went back to their own stuff, leaving Zhang Fei and Lin Feng alone.    

Wang Yi asked Lee Mei to arrange a room for Zhu Min. The rest of them started cooking and resting.    

"Bro Yi, today we modified a total of three commercial vehicles, we can only make the remaining cars tomorrow."    

As Zhang Fei said this, he brought Wang Yi to the front of the three modified cars.    

Wu Tie nodded. After all, Zhang Fei and the others only started it at noon. It was not easy to modify three cars.    

He pulled at the steel bar on the cart. It was still considered strong, so dealing with a small amount of zombies shouldn't be too difficult.    

They walked around the parking lot and tried all the cars. Since there were no problems, Wang Yi let them rest.    

At eight in the evening, the lobby of Tiande's hotel was lit up. The women who stayed in the hotel put together several quilts and hung them on the door, making it impossible to see any light from the outside.    

A few tables were put together and everyone sat around the table, quietly waiting.    

Wang Yi and Lee Mei walked downstairs. When they saw that everyone was around, they said that it was time to eat and sat down to eat.    

After dinner, it was free time. As long as they didn't go out of the hotel and didn't make too much noise, Wang Yi couldn't be bothered.    

Seeing that Lee Mei was happily chatting with a bunch of women, Wang Yi went back to his room alone and lit a few candles. Under the illumination of the candles, he took out the map, wrote on it and studied the road ahead.    

"Dong, dong, dong!"    

A knock on the door interrupted Wang Yi's train of thoughts.    

"Come in!"    

Wang Yi shouted at the top of his lungs as he pushed open the door and entered the room, along with Lee Hu and Liu Yang.    

"Bro Yi, here are the three Glycosylated Meat."    

The two of them went straight to the point, took out the Glycosylated Meat and handed it over to Wang Yi.    

Wang Yi thought for a while and said to the two of them.    

"Each of you take one Glycosylated Meat. Leave the other one to Lee Mei and have her send it over to Qing."    

"Okay, Bro Yi."    

"Thank you, Bro Yi."    

The two of them got excited and after chatting with Wang Yi for a while, they hurried downstairs.    

Wang Yi didn't mind. After all, the two of them were quite obedient, especially Lee Hu. His performance these few days had made Wang Yi acknowledge him.    

Not long after the two of them had left, the door rang again.    

"Dong, dong, dong!"    

"Come in!"    

The one who came back was Dr Shen. As soon as he entered, his voice reached Wang Yi's ears.    

"Wang Yi, tell me the truth, what do you mean Director Tang? Are you going to let Lee Hu kill him?"    

Looking at Dr Shen's unstable mood, Wang Yi put down the pen in his hand and said with a calm tone.    

"I didn't tell Lee Hu to kill that Boss Tang. I told him to kill the zombie, do you have anything else to ask?"    

Dr Shen couldn't calm himself down even after hearing Wang Yi's words. He closed his eyes and took two deep breaths, then asked in doubt.    

"You clearly know that he was injured by zombies, why didn't you use Glycosylated Meat s to save him?"    

Wang Yi shook his head.    

"Glycosylated Meat isn't useful to everyone. Two people in our party were saved by Glycosylated Meat, that's already the luckiest thing that could happen if they were unlucky."    

Wang Yi continued to speak as he saw Dr Shen's cold expression.    

"If I feed the Glycosylated Meat to him, and he still turns into a zombie, then am I wasting a precious piece of Glycosylated Meat? Then there will be people in my team who are a bit weaker because they didn't eat the Glycosylated Meat, and then he will be fighting the zombie because this piece of Glycosylated Meat might be killed by a zombie!"    

Wang Yi slowly walked in front of Dr Shen and looked at the confused Dr Shen.    

"Then if the person that didn't eat the Glycosylated Meat is killed by a zombie, you! "The murderer!"    

These harsh words from Wang Yi caused Dr Shen's tears to burst.    

"But, but this isn't how it should be. You … you're trying to force the truth out of me!"    

Dr Shen took a few steps back, and two streams of tears flowed down the corners of his eyes.    

"You are the murderer!"    

Wang Yi shook his head with a smile.    

"I'm not just a murderer. You'll understand me later."
